Publication charter

Publication standards and reading formats

The Daily Strategic Briefing, the two weekly publications and the continuing climate preparedness record apply the same standards to evidence, dates and corrections. Each serves a distinct reading need, from concise daily analysis to weekly synthesis and a continuously revised public record.

Readers and uses

Evidence prepared for scrutiny and practical use

Public officials, researchers, journalists, civic institutions and professional bodies can use concise daily analysis, full weekly editions, briefing notes, printable PDFs and a continuing evidence record. Each format identifies the principal finding, its evidential limits, the institutions concerned and the decision at stake. The publications remain publicly available for citation and scrutiny.

Common standard

Three tests before publication

01

Select for consequence

A development is selected when it could alter policy, institutions, public services, investment, livelihoods, knowledge or the distribution of risk. Prominence and novelty alone are insufficient.

02

Keep the claim within the evidence

Event date, publication date, place and institutional scope are distinguished. Demonstration, proposal, forecast, official claim and editorial inference are described separately.

03

Make corrections visible

A material error is corrected openly. The climate preparedness record uses numbered revisions, status definitions and a public history so readers can see what changed and consult earlier revisions.
